Shelter Hours:
Old Shelter building: Mon – Fri 10am-4pm; Saturday 10am-2pm
New Adoption Center : Mon – Fri 12pm-4pm; Saturday 10am-2pm
Stray/Quarantine Building Services: Mon – Fri 8am – 4pm; Saturday 10am – 2pm
View Stray Animals: Mon – Fri 10am – 4pm; Saturday 10am – 2pm
Roberta Wills Adoption Center hours: Mon – Fri 12pm – 4pm; Saturday 10am – 2pm

Vaccination Clinic
Every First Saturday of Each Month from 10:00am to 12:00pm
Rabies vaccines at $6 and all other vaccines at a reduced rate. Dogs and cats only. Dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in a crate or carrier.

  • There is a $100 adoption fee for dogs and $60 adoption fee for cats which includes spay/neuter and all vaccines. Microchip – $10 at the time of adoption. Madera County license – $8. CASH OR CHECK ONLY, no credit cards or ATM accepted.
  • The “Seniors for Seniors” program allows any person over 65 years of age to adopt a dog over 8 years of age for only $30.
  • All dogs and cats must be altered before they can come home with their new family. If the dog or cat is already altered they can go home the same day. Adopters who rent will need to have approval from their landlord, homeowners will need proof of home ownership for same day adoption, especially on Saturdays.
